Born in Antalya, Zeynep Esengil Ceylan completed her primary, middle, and high school education in her home city. In 2006, she graduated from the Izmir Institute of Technology’s Department of Architecture. She earned her master’s degree in Architectural Design from Istanbul Technical University’s Institute of Science and Technology. She completed her PhD in the same institute in 2017. Her accolades include four “Western Mediterranean Architecture Awards”—two in the Building category and two in the Project category—along with a second prize in the “Varsak Municipality Service Building Architectural Design Competition” (2016), and an excellence award in the “MimED Architecture Student Project Awards” (2004) for her first-year projects. Her book, titled “Planlama ve Tasarım Sürecinde Katılım: Antalya Örneği” was published by the Antalya branch of the Chamber of Architects. She has authored various articles on architecture and design, published in national and international journals. Since 2011, she has been a partner at Rem Mimarlık, where she focuses on architecture, interior design, conservation, and renovation, while also teaching project courses at Antalya Bilim University.
