Görkem Volkan, who pursued her architectural education at YTU Restoration Department, New York Pratt Institute, and Yeditepe University, graduated from Yeditepe University Department of Architecture in 2004. After graduation, during her time at Nabil Gholam Architects in Lebanon, she assumed the design coordination role for numerous mixed-use projects in Qatar and Dubai. In 2006, she established Görkem Volkan Design Studio. Volkan, who continues to contribute to the profession as a guest jury member at universities and as a speaker at panels and conferences, is also a Board Member of IstanbulSMD for the 10th term.
