Glancing Over at 160-Year Journey of Louis Vuitton with “LV DREAM”
While “LV DREAM”, the cultural destination of Louis Vuitton in Paris, is revealing the innovative transformation of the brand during its 160-year journey, it also promises an exclusive experience on Maison’s past and present artistic collaborations. Opened in 2022, LV DREAM is located in a historical building which was also home to La Belle Jardinière, a well-known shopping mall at the heart of Paris during the second half of 19th century.

The exhibition displays various works of art and designs spanning from Louis Vuitton’s digital portrait by the artist Cao Fei to the brand’s iconic travel bags and custom orders showcasing Maison’s expertise in multiple areas. Consisting of nine rooms with various interactive components, LV DREAM offers a rich and exciting exploration of Louis Vuitton’s ongoing dialogue between past and present, legacy and modernity, Paris and overseas, knowledge and innovation.

In addition to the exhibition, the building is also home to a cafe and chocolate shop created in collaboration with Maxime Frédéric, the Pastry Chef of Cheval Blanc Paris. Surrounded by tropical plants, Le Café stands out with its exclusive lunch menu and specially crafted fresh pastry selection inspired by Maison’s motifs. The gift shop next to Le Café offers a selection of small leather items, accessories, collectable Vivienne dolls, and books in addition to exclusive LV DREAM designs.

In addition to LV DREAM, Louis Vuitton has announced that they are also going to repurpose an iconic Art Nouveau building located in Champs-Elysées Boulevard No.103 to host an upcoming project. Inspired by the legacy of Maison, the facade to be designed will be transformed into a huge “Monogram luggage” during its restoration and will function as a unique background for the Spring-Summer 2024 Fashion Show by the Art Director Nicolas Ghesquière for the duration of the upcoming Paris Fashion Week.
